New Dinner Date: The Yorkshire section of the Institute of Transport have changed the date of their annual dinner to February 7. It will be held in Leeds.
Chinese Tyres: Ceylon Transport Board are taking delivery of 2,000 Chinese tyres this
month. A further 13,0(X) tyres are being' bought from Europe and Japan.
Import Quotas: The Norwegian Government have fixed quotas of 3,000 vans and 250 pick-up trucks to he imported from West Europe during the first half of 1958.
Anglo-Swedish Trade: After six days of trade talks, it has been decided that Sweden's arrangements for importing motor vehicles from this country will be unchanged in 1958.
New Fuel Depot: A new fuel depot of ShellMex and B.F.. Ltd., at Newport, Monmouthshire, replaces four older installations at Newport. Cardiff, Abergavenny and Pontilantraith, and 40 tank vehicles will operate from it.
New Ribble Garage: When the new garage of Ribble Motor Services, Ltd., in Burnley is opened, probably next month, the present offices in Parket Lane will be redesigned to provide an enlarged and modernized inquiry and booking office.
