RADFORD COMPANIES SWITCH

UNDER an -agreement between the Provincial Traction Co., Ltd., and Swain's . Holdings, ,Ltd.-, Harald ;,-RadfOrd Coach builders, Ltd., are being transferred from Provincial to Swain's, who will also manage Harold. Radford and Co., .Ltd. Thomas • Greenwood's Sons.. Ltd.. Halifax, Austin Commercial dealers, will be transferred from Swain's to Provincial but t'ill continue to be managed by Swain's.

Provincial, who also own the Gosport and Fareham bus undertaking, state that they have viewed with increasing concern the losses suffered by the Radford companies, and felt it necessary to associate these concerns with a larger organization.

BUS STRIKER APPEALS

A BUS conductor who was sentenced ti to eight weeks' imprisonment for breaking a bus window during the July strike has appealed successfully to the Scottish Justiciary Appeal Court. Alfred Charles Pincombc, Stirling, was ordered . instead to pay a fine of £25.
