Malvinder Jeet Singh, trading as Mals Transport. pleaded guilty to the fraudulent use of a vehicle excise licence when he appeared before the Harlow magistrates.

Anthony Ostrin, prosecuting for VOSA, said a light goods vehicle operated by Malvinder Jeet Singh and driven by Raghbir Singh was stopped in a roadside check.A traffic examiner noticed that the vehicle was displaying a tax disc for a Rover car. Other tax discs were found in the cab: one for a Ford car and another for a Mercedes Sprinter. Malvinder Singh told the court that he accepted it was his fault and accepted full responsibility.

Malvinder Singh was fined £300 plus £350 costs and £40 in back duty.A similar allegation against Raghbir Singh was withdrawn.
