Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Transport Development Group announced last week that it is to sell Beck & Pollitzer Engineering to its management.

In an apparent attempt to head off speculation over the future of its Beck & Pollitzer companies, TDG describes its distribution business Beck & Pollitzer as safe, and remaining a "key activity".

However, Beck & Pollitzer Engineering—an industrial removal and installation company — is "outside the main activities of the Group".

Additionally, TDG says the £20m turnover company has net assets of £7.3m and has a been "reasonably" profitable over the last five years.

The buyout will affect 350 staff working from six sites in the UK and the management of up to 20 heavy haulage vehicles.
