Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

BRITISH Railways Board Scottish Region has an application pending to vary ha A licence. The effect of the variation, if granted, will be to delete 32 vehicles of various types totaling 1031 tons unladen. These vehicles will be replaced by 29 vehicles totalling 90f tons unladen. The replacements are to be made at Glasgow, Coatbridge, Airdrie, Lanark, Motherwell, Carluke, East Kilbride, Mossend, Uddingston, Wishaw and FauWhouse.

A spokesman for British Railways told COMMERCIAL MOTOR this week that the reason for the application was the reshaping of BR freight handling in Lanarkshire. "It has absolutely no connection with Freightliners", he said.
