SCOTTISH OMNIBUSES, LTD., have carried out a successful experiment at their Dalkeith depot to heat buses previous to their early-morning run. Dalkeith was selected for this experiment because the depot is only 50 yd. from the starting point.
The company's engineers have devised mobile equipment which pumps heated air into the interior before the bus leaves the depot for its first run, providing a comfortable atmosphere for the early travellers.
