MR. U. J. MyArr has been appointed principal accounts assistant, London Transport.

SINGER has been appointed general sales manager of James Booth .Aluminium, Ltd., following the resignation of M. D. McL. BURNELL.

M. T. H. L. PARRISH, sales training manager of Perkins Engines, Ltd., is to make a three-month lecture tour of Chrysler marine and industrial distributors in the U.S.A. and Canada.

MR. H. HAHN, sales promotions manager, York Trailer Co., Ltd., leaves England on Monday for a three-months' tour of the Middle East. He will be visiting oil companies and setting up distributorships in the area.

MR. D. C. FASTNEDGE has been appointed group publicity manager, S. Smith and Sons (England), Ltd. MR. R. J. SAWYER has been appointed advertising manager of Smiths Motor Accessory Division, the position vacated by Mr. Fastnedge.

MR. D. H. F. Joyce has been appointed manager, Supplies and Distribution Dept., Shell-Mex and B.P., Ltd. This is a new department which will be responsible for the transportation, storage and distribution of the company's products. Mr. Joyce is a member of the Council of the Institute of Transport.

MR. EDWARD D. BROOM has been appointed general export and service manager. Simms Motor Units, Ltd. He was previously branch controller. MR. ROBERT E. MARTINSON, previously manager of the Ipswich branch, has been brought in as branch co-ordinator. MR. DESMOND H. HENRI continues as general home sales manager, but is now to he assisted by MR. RICHARD H. HALES as deputy sales manager. MR. C. T. FlumpiDGE, general manager of Bradford city transport department, has been appointed manager of Sheffield city transport department. He will succeed MR. R. C. MOORE, who retires in May. (See announcement on page 5.) MR. RICHARD ADAMS has been appointed general manager of a newly created Engineering Division of Castro], Ltd. Mr. Adams joined Castro! in July last year. His last appointment was as manager, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Division, George Wimpey and Co., Ltd.

MR. ALAN THRELFALL has been appointed sales manager of Perkins Gas Turbines, Ltd., Peterborough, and will be responsible for co-ordinating Perkins gas turbine sales throughout the world. Before joining the Perkins group, Mr. Threlfall, 33, worked for Lucas industrial Equipment, Ltd., Birmingham.

MR. T. D. PATERSON has been appointed group mechanical maintenance manager of Hoveringham Gravels, Ltd., and MR. L. R. WHITTLE has been made group traffic co-ordinator. MR. C. H. HEARN has been appointed traffic manager of the Southern Region, whilst MR. G. F. WILUAMSON becomes traffic manager of the Northern Region.
