THE Minister of Transport is expected I to announce his decision soon on the question of increasing the overall dimen. sions of public service vehicles to bring them into line with Continental designs. The proposed regulations would extend the overall length from 30 ft. to 36 ft., and the width from 8 ft. to 8 ft. 2 in. No change in the permitted turning circle. is envisaged. but some increase in overhang, according to the wheelbase, would be permitted. In rib case, however, would the overhang exceed 7/24 of the overall length, as at present.
