Passenger Services to Evacuation Areas AVE understand from the C.M.U.A. IT that committees of passenge:vehicle operators are being set up in the various Traffic Areas to discuss ways and means of dealing with the problem of services to evacuation districts. The proCedure to be followed is that each committee will collect, from local operators, information as to the services they desire to operate in this connection, to the end that a concise and complete programme may be put before the Ministry. The first meeting of the committee in the Metropolitan Area has already been held; those in the provinces are tc follow quickly.

Twenty A.E.C. Trolleybuses to Join Shanghai Fleet MORE A.E.C. trolleybuses are to pplement the large number already running in the-Far East. A contract recently received by the Associated Equipment Co., Ltd., will add 20 four-wheeled single-deckers to the fleet of the Shanghai Electric Construction Co., which now has some 200 of this make in operation. As before, the bodies will be built locally. Repeat orders for trolleybuses were awarded to
