Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Volvo Bus has launched an engine replacement package for 1981-86 Leyland Tiger coaches powered by the Leyland TL11H engine in front of a six-speed 2F transmission.

The package, which costs £11,000 installed, includes a service exchange Volvo THD100EC unit, rated at 180kW (245hp) at 2,200rpm and developing 900Nm (6641bft) of torque at 1,400rpm.

Any UK Volvo workshop can carry out the conversion. An allowance will be given for the original TL11H engine.

A similar exchange engine package is planned for Tigers fitted with semi-automatic Leyland Hydracyclic transmissions.
