Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

probable site licensing conditions and confirm plated axle and gross weight limitations has been designed by Saunders Transport, Shepperton, an Ocean Transport subsidiary, in collaboration with Setpoint Ltd, London.

The equipment incorporates a standard wheel cleaner, which Saunders has been supplying for some time.

This removes the mud from the wheels by using rollers spun by the wheels of the vehicle under its own power. An added refinement will be a powered roller to deal with the front wheels if required.

This will involve the installation of a 71/4hp electric motor operated either from the mains or a battery located inside the roller for weather proofing. It will give a speed of 45mph.

Integral with the cleaner is a weighbeam just over 3ft wide. As the vehicle passes over the beam at a speed of about 3mpg, the axle weights are recorded electronically in the control cabinet and a print-out if required, and dynamic weighings can be achieved in either direction.

The accuracy of the equipment is within plus or minus one per cent of true weight — compared with the Trading Standards Department's acceptance requirement of plus or minus 0.5 per cent.
