New manager of Newport (Gwent) transport department is George Cottham, who takes over from Frank Thorp, who is retiring after 13 years as manager.

Mr Cottham moves from Merseyside, where he was manager of St Helens district of Merseyside PTE.

Crosville's new assistant divisional manager for South East Cheshire is Gordon Dodd. He left Australia's largest coach operator to take the job.

Previously with Crosville as a traffic clerk, he held several jobs within National Bus companies and in Africa before moving to Australia. Bob Auckland has joine Transfleet Services as the' truck rental manager for th Yorkshire region, based i Leeds. Mr Auckland is former Atkinson Vehicle apprentice of the year and is member of the Wakefiel Centre of the IRTE.

Rolls-Royce has appointe Peter Vinson general mar ager and managing dir..ctc designate, replacing Ronal Whiteside, who will retire a managing director at the en of 1977.

Mr Whiteside will continu as a consultant when he give up his present duties. And M Vinson will continue as man aging director of the Militar Engine Division.
