COMPANY WAS granted a restricted licence )r three vehicles after one of its directors admitted ivolvement with at least three liquidated companies. Mancunian Foods had sought a new restricted cence for three vehicles before the North-Western raffle Commissioner Beverley Bell.

The directors were Jonathan Axon, who had reviously held a licence in his own right, and his ither John. John Axon said he was nominally a irector, but took no active part, although Jonathan id follow his advice.

John Axon had been involved with several rms. He had been a director of Skytrack, which rovided meals to airlines.That company had held an I-licence, but fell into difficulty after the attack on the Win Towers in September 2001. John Axon was no longer a director of Fresh & Fry Foods when that company was dissolved and he could not recall Buxmore, which had been dissolved in January 2004. Helico Helicopters had not yet started trading.

The TC said one of the listed directors of Mancunian Foods, Sandra Axon, had been a director of the dissolved Cornish Gold (UK).

Clare Riding, for the company, said Sandra Axon was not a director of Mancunian Foods, only a shareholder.

Jonathan Axon said he had no involvement with Cornish Gold (UK) or the failed Skytrack. He had been using small vans since his previous licence was discontinued in 2002 and now needed to go up to 4.5-tonne vans. He told the TC the shareholders were himself, his mother and father,
