Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

IN SEPTEMBER Commercial Motorwi II run the largest comparative g roup test the road transport industry has seen in 20 years.

Run in association with Shell Lubricants, the Euro-4 1,000mile test will put 12 of the industry's greenest trucks through their paces. There will be two weight categories, 40 and 44 tonnes, and the trucks will be directly competing with one another to prove their worth in terms of power and fuel economy.

The test will be the result of months of planning and partnership with groups including Milibrook Proving Ground, Feather Diesel, Air1 and Hill Hire.

CM editor Andy Salter says: The SCR/EGR debate has been vigorous for a long time now. We say it's time to stop talking and let the products prove themselves."

The 1,000-mile test will take place around England, Wales and Scotland between 4 and 8 September; once we've done our sums the results will be published in CM28 September.

For details on the route, as well as the planning of and preparations for the Euro-4 test, see CM 17 August.
