Some smart Alecs on the road think they have speed traps sussed. At present, speeding vehicles are detected by radar which triggers a camera to take two flash shots in quick succession. White marks in the road show the vehicle's position in each frame, determining how fast it is travelling.
But while cameras can be hidden, some boy racers now know to look out for the prominent white marks. Their fun will soon be scuppered, though, because Monitron International of Kidderminster has come up with a solution using tiny white marks that will only be seen by cameras. That'll learn 'em!
