A fuel-cell-powered electric bus powered by hydrogen stored in roof-mounted tanks will also be on display at the Frankfurt show. This will use a conventional central motor, although MAN is also working on hub-motor systems. MAN has also built prototype buses vdth hydrogen-fuelled Internal combustion engines which meet Euro-3 requirements; during trials these have already covered more than 50,000km.
