VENTY A.E.C. Reliance 590 coaches with 46-seat bodywork by Park Royal now being placed in service by the it Kent Road Car Co_ Ltd. A.E.C. 1590 engines and ZE six-speed overye gearboxes are fitted, all but two of vehicles having rear axle ratios of 8 to 1. The remaining two are to re the standard ratio of 4.7 to 1.
['he 36-ft. by 8-ft. 2+-in. coachwork is el-framed with aluminium panelling, :ept for the front and rear domes and rer front-end panels which are in ss-fibre. Lightweight tubular-framed
scats with individual headrolls are employed. Extensive luggage accommodation is provided in two lockers in the near-side and one in the off-side skirt panels, a rear locker and an area in the near-side rear of the passenger compartment enclosed by tubular framework and fitted with a full-depth external door. Tubular roof racks are also provided. CurVed windscreen and rear window glasses give unobstructed vision to front and rear, whilst hinged ventilation panels are incorporated in the side windows. The hinged front entrance door opens inwards.
