Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

CLAIMED to be capable of climbing I—. a gradient of 1 in 1.6 with a full load, a 3-ton four-wheel-drive generalservice vehicle is being built f or the British Army by Commer Cars, Ltd., Luton.

Originally produced for the export market, the machine, with few adaptations, was found to meet Service requirements, and Commer Cars, Ltd., has now received an order which, coupled with the contract for the F.V.1601 1-ton cargo carrier, totals several million pounds.

The 3-tonner weighs 7/ tons fully laden, and can attain a speed of over 40 m.p.h. A vertical version of the underfloor engine, as used in the Commer 7-tonner, is installed. A specially reinforced steel body, crosscountry tyres and an air-pressure system for trailer brakes, form other specification features.

Towing loons are fitted at the front and hooks at the rear; by use of the winch the vehicle can be extricated, should it become bogged, either from the front or the rear.
