Mr. W. R. Hargrave, solicitor for the applicant, said that the need for the facilities which East Yorkshire Motor Services, Ltd., sought to provide was indisputable, and the company was the only operator which, at the moment, could cater for that need,

The Commissioner reserved his decision on the application, which the applicant modified by withdrawing its proposals -to run excursions and tours to Blackpool and .Fountains Abbey, and by agreeing that York excursions be confined to the days of race meetings at York, and that the number of vehicle journeys be reduced.
