Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

IT is interesting to examine the figures concerning the importation of chassis for lorries, vans and motorbuses into India and to compare them for the past three years. The figures that follow are those for a period of 12 months, from April 1st to March 31st, the first table giving the number of chassis and their value in Indian currency for each of the three years, whilst the second table gives an analysis of these figures in order to obtain the average value of the chassis.' From the second table it will be seen, first, that the avetage value per chassis has in almost every case fallen since the year 1923-1924, whilst the proportion of small or cheap vehicles from Canada and the United States is obviously considerable. In every case the amount given represents the cost of the chassis landed at an Indian port, with freight and insurance included. An important market in India is for small buses between villages.
