New and used truck sales enquiries are slowing down as the year heads in to its final two months, reports Eddie Knights, safes manager at Coventry Daf dealership Ford and Slater. "I'm anticipating a bit of a lull between now and January and February," he observes.

Knights admits that's partly because trading was so hectic dun ng the first six or seven months of the year that sales staff barely had time to canvass for new business.

"Something else that's having an effect however is that some customers are expressIng concern about what may happen to the economy over the next few months," he comments. "As a consequence they're putting off buying decisions.

"That said, we're getting a lot of interest in the LF 7.5-tormer, with quite a few people taking delivery, and seven out of ten buyers are prepared to pay a premium for it," he says. 'The 65s and 85s are proving popular, and people are certainly asking about the new XF95."
