COL. T. GREGORY, a member of Hampshire County Council, has joined the South Eastern Transport Users' Consultative Committee. He takes the place of ALD. W. K. MARTIN, who has resigned through ill health.

MR. D. E. STOCKING and MR. J. E. BARRELL have been appointed to the board of the Arlington Motor Co., Ltd. Mr. Stocking is goods-vehicle and car sales manager and Mr. Barrell is in charge of public service vehicle sales. Both have been with the company for more than 25 years.

MR. fa THOMSEN has replaced MR. F. TVET ER as treasurer of the Goodyear Tyre and Rubber Co. (Great Britain), Ltd. Mr. Tveter has left to become Goodyear finance director for the Benelux countries. Mr. Thomsen joined Goodyear at their headquarters in Akron, U.S.A., six years ago and became treasurer of Goodyear-India in May, 1957. MR. R. CoasErr has been appointed a director and secretary of the Avon India Rubber Co., Ltd.

COL. JOHN P YE, a leading transport executive, has been installed.as the Senior W arden of the Worshipful Company of Carmen.

MR. RONALD MOUAT-BIGGS, High Wycombe garages superintendent of the Thames Valley Traction Co., Ltd., for 30 years, has retired.

MR. C. S. JOHNSON, chief inspector at the Leyland and Chorley works of Leyland Motors, Ltd., has been appointed foundry manager at the company's • Farington foundry. MR. JOHN CA RTMELL is now foundry production manager.

MR. P. BURGESS, works director, Atkinson Vehicles, Ltd., is to take over the duties of director and sales manager, co-operating with MR. A. R. YOUNG in his duties as sales liaison officer. MR. R. L. BANNISTER has become works manager. He was previously with Henry 'Meadows, Ltd., and Leyland Motors, Ltd. MR. K. G. COLLEY has taken up the post of chief accountant at Preston. , MR. B. F. W. SCOTT is IO succeed MR. W. A. CRAIG as vice-chairman of C.A.V., Ltd. Mr. Scott will relinquish his appointment as sales director of Joseph Lucas (Electrical), Ltd., but will remain as a special duty director. MR. C. P. D. DAVIDSON will be appointed a Lucas director in plate of Mr. Scott, and will relinquish his directorship of Girling, Ltd. Ma. B. G. CROPPER is to be appointed a director of the sales organization of Lucas. These arrangements will come into effect on January 1 next, but Mr. Craig will continue as a director of C.A.V. until March 31.
