Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Each cab was measured for vibrations in three planes: vertically on the cab floor and seat cushion: and horizontally on the seat backrest.

The tests were set up and monitored by Peter Ramie of MIRA, and were in two parts. The first part was carried out with two separate runs, each of 30 seconds, on smooth asphalt at a steady speed of 48km/h. The second set of runs were made at 32km/h on a rough asphalt section. Noise was also tested, at tickover and at 80km/h, while the effect of a neighbouring fridge motor was simulated by parking next to a diesel-engined compressor which produced 100dB(A) at one metre.
