Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

range for lveco rd: a way of specifying different ranges options for the EuroTech, Oddly howier, it doesn't indicate a particularly ash or basic spec; you can have it either ay. Our example is a 4x2 sleeper pow-ed by the 350hp Cursor 8 engine. It's a :raightforward single-bunk cab with a ?.latively low roof (a medium-height cab optional) and optimised for a low kerbeight—it should certainly be popular ith fleet owners.

However, you get the same cab as afore with all its features and faults. tough things have improved, the quality I the (slightly squeaky) plastics and ther materials is not up to the mark set y Volvo, Scania or MAN.

Other irritations include the not-very opaque curtains, with their trademark "starlight" effect. But the features that are unacceptable in a long-distance cab don't seem to matter so much in the lightweight EuroTech. The smaller cab certainly doesn't suffer in terms of sound insulation: in both the tickover test and the external noise test (that bloody compressor...) it performed like a—well, like a Performer.

For a compact cab the interior dimensions are actually pretty good: the interior height is on a par with the Volvo (though of course the cab floor is almost a foot lower). With such a low roof the space from dashboard to passenger seat becomes critical for comfortable dressing, and this is good.

The bunk is also slightly longer than the Volvo's. Where it loses out is in width: at just 60orn wide, the big-shouldered would do well to stay away. But the bunk is commendably firm and, though it is thinner than, say, the ERF's, it offers better support.

The EuroTech's interior storage space is nothing to write home about, but there is useful external stowage and some small lockers above the windscreen, as well as a document tray on the (rather high) centre console.

Given the simplified nature of the Performer's specification it was a surprise to find one of the most complicated sets of heater controls. However, We were assured that a single press on the right button would get the night heater going. No doubt this is true, but a blown fuse meant that the heater test could not be made and that overnight heating was an all-or-nothing affair. Still, our tester got a good night's sleep.
