Talking of Ireland, a colleague has just been over to Craigavon, 25 miles south west of Belfast, where the first major industrial development for this new town is a £6.5m. Goodyear factory. Although it was officially opened by the Minister of Technology only a week or two ago, it is already producing a wide range of industrial rubber goods, including automotive v-belts.
