Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Following the increase in permitted lengths of articulated vehicles and drawbar trailers which took effect in April, COMMERCIAL MOTOR has produced a revised version of its poster showing the maximum legal weights and dimensions of goods vehicles permitted in the UK under Construction and Use Regulations.

Eight diagrams show clearly the size limits for each class of vehicle and the maximum gross weights allowed with each axle-spread dimension. There is also a guide to the regulations which impose these figures. Printed in two colours on tough paper, the posters meastiie 134-in. x 20in. and are ideal for display at weighbridges, in traffic offices, workshops and depots.

The posters cost 2s 6d each, or can be purchased in bulk at 10 for £1 and are obtainable from Sundry Sales Dept., NTP Sales and Distribution Ltd., 161 Fleet Street, London, EC4.

• The 288,000-ton Encounter Bay, the world's biggest container ship, will be launched in Hamburg on June 5 by Overseas Containers Ltd.
