recommended the City Council to place a contract for the supply of 63 Daimler Fleetline doubledeckers with 77-seat bodywork by M.H. Cars Ltd., of Belfast. The land concern secured the contract for the bodywork of the initial fleet of 88 similar vehicles of which delivery commenced last year, building a special workshop for the
purpose. .
The new contract is, for the first time, to provide for part of the chassis assembly as well as the manufacture of the bodywork to be carried out in Belfast. The total cost of the new buses is to be £7,494 each, making the contract price £472,122.• The vehicles are to be used largely for trolleybus replacement.
