KENT HAULIER Fast Forward International says axing a vital section of the Sittingbourne relief road is “disappointing news” .

Colin McKay, MD at the company, based on the Eurolink Business Park in Sittingbourne, has slammed the decision of Swale Joint Transport Board – made up of Borough councillors from Swale and Kent County Councillors – to vote to scrap the proposed link to the A2 to the east of Sittingbourne.

McKay says: “This is disappointing news. This road is vital for journeys to Dover, there is still only one way in and out of Sittingbourne.”
