Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Tip-ex 2011, which is held on 1012 June, so far has 80% of the exhibitors from 2010 although many of the stands are increasing in size and filling the space. It is likely exhibitors will return to the show’s roots. “I think there will be a higher percentage of tippers on show, everyone now knows who builds moving-floor products,” says Tallent.

The latest names to sign up include Feldbinder, Fruehauf, Muldoon, Dennison Trailers, Martrans Trailers, Wilcox Commercial Vehicles, Hyva, and SDC Trailers.

With SED consigned to history, Tip-ex has a chance to exploit the space left by its closure and broaden its appeal to the construction industry as a whole, he says.

“We don’t want to become a plant and construction show, but the construction transportation market is willing to seek us out,” he says.

Tallent continues: “It would be nice to have more at Tip-ex for the construction market to come and look at that was transport related, not just aggregate, muckaway and materials, but goods and vehicles as well, equipment such as lowloaders, which plays such an important part.” The show is also attracting the major truck manufacturers, with Volvo Trucks exhibiting its FMX range – another sign that the construction market is beginning to show signs of recovery.

Tallent believes Tip-ex 2011 will reflect the resourcefulness of the construction sector. “Generally the upbeat nature of the industry means the glass is half full, not half empty, and exhibitors continue to invest in the show,” he says.
