Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The transport manager of North Yorkshire-based Floyd Schofield Haulage and five of the firm's drivers have appeared at Bradford Crown Court accused of offences alleg ing the falsification of tachograph charts in the summer of 1990.

Roger Moran, of Towhead Lane, Austwick—transport manager, and at the time the offences were alleged to have been committed, husband of the owner—was said by the prosecution to be the employer.

He is accused of falsifying tachograph charts and of aiding and abetting drivers to falsify charts.

The drivers, who all face charges of tachograph chart falsification, are Mark Knights, of Castle Street, Settle; Andrew Cardus, of Barrel Sykes, Settle; John Hodges, of Burmoor Crescent, Ingleton; Graham Hayward, of Ashfield Terrace, Skipton; and Richard Drake, of Thornview Road, Hellifield.

The hearing of the case was adjourned for a day of legal argu

ment until a date to be fixed. All six defendants have been granted unconditional bail by the court.
