Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE Freight Transport Association is holding a series of one. day seminars in London, Leeds and Manchester on aspects of international road haulage.

International Road Transport is the subject of the first seminar. There will be comprehensive coverage of the permit system; the CMR convention; Community Transit; TIR; and insurance. It takes place in London on October 15 and Leeds on November 16.

The second seminar covers the conditions of carriage. With the recession leading many companies to review their distribution systems and often causing them to revert to the use of forwarders and hauliers, conditions of carriage have become far more important in the last few years.

The Road Haulage Association plans to introduce new conditions of carriage this year, and the Institute of Freight Forwarders is reviewing its trading conditions. There conditions will be discussed in detail, including the responsibilities of the sender and the carrier, and the importance of adequate insurance. This takes place in London on October 7 and Manchester on November 2.

The fee is E60 + VAT per delegate. For further information contact the FTA on 0892 26171.
