Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

This was brought up in court by Andrew Hunt, a Perth solicitor, defending Andrew Wilson, who had admitted driving a lorry in Montrose on January 19 with a load of round timber 2,790 kilos overweight.

Mr Hunt said that while his client had always been most careful to ensure that his lorry was not overloaded, it was very difficult to assess the weight of loads of round timber. He is therefore to buy the weighing machine.

Mr Wilson had driven the lorry about one-and-a-half miles from Montrose Harbour to a weighing machine in the town because the machine at the harbour was not in use.

Sheriff Stuart Kermack admonished Mr Wilson.
