IRELAND'S first postbus service, modelled on the successful British model, has started to operate in County Clare.
The service, which complements rather than competes with the existing bus services in the area, runs twice-daily on a circular route from Ennis to Lahinch, Lisdoonvarna, and Corofin. The Irish postal service hopes the minibus will defray the cost of carrying mail.
