Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

METRO-CAMMELL Weymann is looking at the possibilities of developing a range of coaches for the British market, and may have prototypes available at the Motor Show in October.

The company is remaining tight-lipped about its intentions, though it is looking at the possibility of building both singleand double-deck vehicles as a means of countering the sharp decline in demand for such double-deck vehicles as its Metrobus.

One of the design options being considered for the double decker is a six-wheel version of the Metrobus, based on the Apollo design supplied to Hong Kong, and, fitted with a Cummins E290 engine. It would be restyled at the front and rear, in a similar fashion to Leyland's restyled Olympian coach for National Express.

It is possible that the singledecker will be a 12m model. MCW built a prototype RollsRoyce underfloor-engined Metrobus single-decker, the SM, for the 1978 Motor Show.

If the coaches are built, it is likely that the double-decker will be operated by the Scottish Bus Group, and the single-decker by National Express.
