manufacturer Stoneridge. Using the basic Fleet Viewer device, managers and drivers can view and store driver and vehicle activity captured on digital tachographs and drivers smart cards.
The software includes a graphical display of driver and vehicle activities, and calculates the duration of each (drive, rest, other work, available). Warnings are given if the software detects unknown drivers and overlapping periods for particular drivers. Reminders are given when downloads and backups are due. Reports are also available for speeding, events and faults, and distance travelled.
Optac+ is for entirely digital fleets while Optac 2, for fleets with analogue and digital tacho, includes a chart scanner. It stores information from up to 20 digital tachographs and 500 smartcard downloads, or a combination of both.
