• Hays Distribution Services is in the final stages of negotiating a deal with supermarket giant Waitrose to operate about 100 trucks out of a Milton Keynes depot which Hays will open in autumn 1992.
Spurling grows
• Transport Development Group subsidiary Spurling, under its new managing director Paul Carvell, has expanded its contract with ICI to cover secondary distribution of Dulux paint in the South-West, adding 13 new vehicles to the dedicated fleet.
