Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE FIRST examination under the Royal Society of Arts new Certificate in Road Passenger Transport will be held in May this year. A new scheme for the road haulage sector is under discussion but this awaits details of the training scheme for young drivers provided for in the Road Traffic Act 1974.

The existing road passenger diploma scheme will continue for a further two years and the last examina

tions for this will be in May 1976. Successes gained at examinations before 1964 will no longer be considered for the award of a diploma.

Details of the new scheme were published in CM on April 26, 1974 (page 78) and August 23, 1974 (page 43).

The syllabus is available price 6p post free from the Assistant Secretary, RSA Examinations Board, Murray Road, Orpington, Kent BR5 3RB (tel. Orpington 32421).
