SEALINK is to convert its passenger ship Avalon to .a drive-on / drive-off vehicle ferry at a cost of over £1 million. The ship, which will be able to accommodate 210 cars or a mixture of cars and eight commercial vehicles, when converted, will re-enter service in summer this year on the Fishguard-Rosslare route.
