Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Tam in no way condoning the practice of drink-driving or speeding in an HGV. But I cannot see what benefits can be obtained by a Traffic Commissioner withholding a vocational licence from a driver who has already been punished by a magistrate.

The licence holder has probably lost his job and has probably had to make adjustments to his lifestyle. For a TC to state that it would require time to get used to driving a car before driving a truck is farcical: this could be achieved within minutes. Name withheld
