IT had not been possible to arrange I the traffic survey in the Edinburgh area announced a year ago.
Stating this in the Lords last week, Lord Mitchison, Joint Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Land and Natural Resources, said that discussions had started with Edinburgh Corporation and the surrounding county councils about the possibility of arranging land use transportation studies for Eastern Scotland. This had introduced a new factor which was now being considered.
