Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Rezone has a new range of hand-held digital analysers for distributors and key users of batteries. It will also be useful for controlling warranty return costs by minimising the charge and re-test cycles.

The top model, the Micro 525, is a hand-held battery tester and charging system diagnostic tool combined, while the 505 provides a fast, accurate LCD reading whether there is a dead cell or the battery is down to just 1v. Both are designed for use on cars, CDVs and light trucks, on single 12v batteries.

The PBT 105 battery tester, which retails at about £855, is for light vans and also checks the charging and starter sys

terns. It can analyse the cold cranking cycle up to 850 amps, without necessarily charging the battery beforehand.

There's a heavy duty 725series on the way for heavy trucks with 24v linked battery systems. Rezone will display one at Autornechanika in Frankfurt. Contact Neil Smith on 0121 526 3131.
