Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Simon Access (UK) has delivered the first of two batches of vehicles for civil airport use in Nepal.

The total order is for seven vehicles: two Simon Protector crash tenders; two Pacer RIVs (Rapid Intervention Vehicles); two Land Rover-based airport ambulances; and a Command Car, also on a Land Rover chassis. The contracts include training and spares packages.

The 6x6 28-tonne GVW Protector carries up to nine tonnes of water and 1.5 tonnes of foam; The Nepalese vehicles are powered by 530hp (395kW) Mack/Renault EE9 engines (the standard Protector uses Detroit Diesel power) with a Twin Disc transmission system.

The specification also demanded right-hand drive, in place of the standard central driving position.

The 4x4 Pacer—also converted from left-hand drive—is based on a GMC chassis rated at 5.85 tonnes GVW and powered by a 190hp (142kW) veeeight diesel.
