• Thomas Electronics' Tyreguard tyre pressure monitoring system is designed to provide drivers with early warning of pressure losses. It works by transmitting information from wheel-mounted sensors, via a windscreen-bonded antenna, to a receiver/decoder in the cab. There is an audible warning and the system will identify the wheel or wheels involved.
Installation takes about 20 minutes. The system can cope with up to 80 tyres at a time, says the distributor. It is accurate to ±2psi and costs about £400 for a six-tyre application (additional tyres £30 each). For further details write No
