kevin.swallowtarbi.co.uk INDEPENDENT DAF dealer Heathrow Truck Centre (HTC) Group has purchased fellow DAF franchisee Morgan Elliott Group for an undisclosed sum.

The deal includes two sales sites at Belvedere and Croydon, taking the Ballyvesey Holdings-owned HTC Group to seven depots in south and west London. Berkshire and Oxfordshire. The deal also brings an extra 117 employees to the group.

Paul Irving, group MD, says Colin Morgan and Roger Elliott, owners of Morgan Elliott, will retire from the business.

"Together they have built a superb business with a similar ethos to our own. They can be sure their business is in safe hands.," he says.

This latest acquisition is a per fect fit geographically for HTC, and leaves our enlarged company a significant player in the DAF dealer network and one of the largest companies in the Ballyvesey Holdings Group."

Ballyvesey Holdings bought HTC Group from Paccar in 2008 with three sites at Heathrow,Luton,Bedfordshire and Park Royal, London.

In September 2009, HTC Group bought two sites in Oxford and Reading from the Barnes Group.
