Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE DROP IN AVERAGE used van prices has slowed to a trickle with Manheim Remarketing reporting some stability through August as online buyers took up the slack from traditional buyers.

Manheim Remarketing says its August figures, compared to July, slipped 1% (£40) to 13,999, below the £4,000 mark for the first time since January. The August price reflects an underlying strength in the market, despite the usual lighter seasonal demand, says James Davis, general manager, commercial vehicles,as in-hall buyers and traders took time off.

He adds: "Values were also boosted by growth in online sales, with average online sales prices rising by 9.4% (i407) over the past month.

"There is a general positivity among trade buyers at the moment with more deals being done than for sonic time now. As we start to see stock volumes increase and better attendances in the auction halls, the future is certainly looking brighter."
