ALTHOUGH it is at present losing too much money despite a considerable increase in passengers, the Cumbria County Council subsidised cheap fares experiment at Kendal will be continued for another three months.
The decision, made by a joint meeting of the County Council's Public Transport Sub-Committee and Ribble Motor Services of Preston, is, however, subject to the Traffic Commissioners a-greeing to an increase in the fares of between 6p and 12p.
