kULIERS with vehicles returning from the Middle East, welling through Turkey with empty lorries, can now obtain ecial permits in the UK for backloading fruit and vegetables )m Turkey.

There, permits will be issued, free of charge, by the epartment of Transport's international office in Newcastle1-Tyne, on a first come first served basis.

Up to now, such hauliers, wishing to pick up loads in Turkey, we had to apply to the Turkish authorities for special .rmission.
