BRIDGWATER magistrates last week decided that when a container was fixed to a vehicle by eight bolts it was part of "the vehicle, which was, therefore, restricted to the 20 m.p.h. speed limit. The lorry, without the container, came within the 30 -m.p.h. category.

D. A. Miles, cattle and general haulier, of Bawdrip, near Bridgwater, was fined 20s. for not displaying a 20 m.p.h. disc. Mr.` T. D. Thorpe, for the, defendant, said that an appeal would probably be lodged.
