Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The Road Haulage Association's Green code of practice is due to be approved within the next couple of weeks.

It is designed to draw attention to environmentally sensitive areas in transport, so that remedial action can be taken before regulations are imposed, says RHA chairman Roy Bowies.

"We need to ensure that we take all possible steps to reduce the adverse affect of some of our operations," he told members of the association's north-west district.

Bowles warned that tougher environmental legislation will follow, but added the code will "lobby others on your behalf to make them more conscious of environmental matters, which bear on truck operations".
