• Thermalite has abandoned its in-house transport operation and awarded a multi-millionpound distribution contract to TNT.
This is one of the largest contracts yet won by TNT Contract Distribution, which says the five-year deal will create arond 100 jobs. A fleet of 85 vehicles is dedicated to the operation.
Distribution will be handled from Thermalite depots in Purfleet, Newbury, Birmingham, Thetford, Blyth, Man chester and Stirling.
TNT signed a .21 deal with Thermalite last Apr to deliver building blocks to t North and Scotland, using 16 vehicles.
I=1 TNT Ipec Express has lau ched a service called Gold Bond.
